MARMARA PARK AVENUE HOTEL | LOBBY

The Marmara Park Avenue makes a very unique design statement, from the intricate diamond patterned bronze entry door to a prudently perched diminutive owl. The jewel box entrance conservatory, its faceted glass panels, blackened forged steel frame and paved walkway, invite the outdoors into the lobby. Upon entry of the atrium, the guests are greeted by a monolithic pair of starlit sculptural concierge desks. 

Gem-toned accents and rich textures add a tactile contrast against a neutral palette where two over-scale fireplaces emit a theatrical glow, one understated and reserved in seamless limestone, while the other boldly takes center stage in a mirrored, stainless steel sculpted form.  Alongside the free formed fireplace, an elegant hand-carved bird abacus floats down from the ceiling as a sculptural partition, separating the bar area from the lounge while keeping a sense of whimsy.

Bespoke applications and artisanal details by Joe Ginsberg have created a look exclusive to the hotel. From the architectural components to the sculptural focal points, Joe Ginsberg has amassed influences from the past and present to convey the essence of a timeless metropolis.

HOSPITALITY DESIGN AWARDS

In 2016, Joe Ginsberg won the "Best Luxury Upscale Hotel" Award form Hospitality Design for his project, the Marmara Park Avenue Hotel in New York. The Marmara hotel group had chosen Joe Ginsberg to design this hotel due to his unique hands-on approach, expertise in fabrication and sophisticated timeless design sensibility.  This inspiring and award winning property captivates Joe Ginsberg’s objective to provoke the imagination and senses of anyone entering the space, exciting the guests with a sense of intrigue at every turn in the lobby and throughout the hotel suites, making them want to return.
